Monday, March 3, 2014 Governor Susana Martinez signed House Bill 9 into law at the Lovelace Regional Hospital in Roswell. This legislation, sponsored by Representative Nora Espinoza (R-Roswell), requires noninvasive testing for Critical Congenital Heart Disease in newborn infants.

Lovelace recently participated in the African American Heritage Month Health Fair at Kirtland Air Force base. Lovelace provided screenings that included heel scans, blood pressure and peripheral artery disease, as well as distributed information about our providers, services and facilities.

Lovelace Westside Hospital celebrated the third anniversary of its Family Birthing Center and along with the opening of the Lovelace Medical Group Women’s Services on Tuesday at Lovelace Westside Hospital.
The Family Birthing Centers at Lovelace Westside Hospital and Lovelace Women’s Hospital have delivered more than 3,200 babies in 2013.
Lovelace Medical Group Women’s Services recently opened behind Lovelace Westside Hospital to meet the needs of the Westside and Rio Rancho community. The health care center provides a vast array of women’s services including annual exams, prenatal care, pregnancy testing and minimally invasive gynecology surgery.
