Lead Environmental Services Tech / Housekeeping, Full-Time job, Eveings, Albuquerque, NM

  We are looking for an Lead Environmental Services Tech to join our Environmental Services team in Albuquerque, NM.

  This Full-Time job is located at   Lovelace Women’s Hospital , the first and only hospital in New Mexico dedicated to women’s health, offers a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, a natural birthing center, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.    

Environmental Services Tech Lead/ Housekeeping Lead Responsibilities:

  • Serves as ‘lead’ in their functional area, which includes but is not limited to: Handles non-routine/complex situations; orients new hires/new staff members in their functional area; provides input into the performance evaluation process, hiring process; coordinates schedules and work assignments for peer group in the absence of the supervisor/manager.
  • Performs the duties of an environmental services technician as outlined in the job description and accepts the responsibility for a limited area, shift or task as assigned, and for the quality standard in designated area, reports area of concerns to Supervisor.
  • Monitors and oversees assigned areas to ensure assignments are being completed within a timely manner. 
  •   Inspects and maintains equipment daily to ensure proper usage. 

Lead Environmental Services Tech Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • One (1) year of previous job-related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to lead work teams
  • Ability to make routine decisions that usually have a limited number of solutions
  • Ability to exercise choice on how work is accomplished with independence to operate within established policies, procedures and schedules
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
